Hvar Island Camping


Hvar is the Dalmatian island located between Korcula and Brac in the near vicinity of Split. It is well known in Croatia for a pleasant climate with a lot of sunshine, so Hvar is a popular island to visit by camping enthusiasts. The island is well connected by ferries from several neighbouring islands as well as with Split and is well interconnected by local buses.

There are several smaller and larges camping places on the island of Hvar, most of them located along the sea or small bays with pebble beaches. All of them have at least basic facilities such as electricity and water, kitchen and shower rooms/ bathrooms.

The camping grounds on Hvar include campsite Mina in Jelsa, Camping Holiday, naturist camp Nudist in Vrboska as well as campsite Grebisce in the vicinity of Jelsa. In the vicinity of Stari Grad, Hvar there is camping Jurjevac. Few kilometres from Sucuraj there is Mlaska camping ground. Sveta Nedelja village also has several small campsites.

The largest campsite on Hvar is Campsite Vira (see below) which has the best facilities on Hvar Island.
